Chris Charrett-Dykes is walking 1,000 miles in 100 days to raise funds and awareness for Chronic Migraine Awareness. Every mile he logs is a step toward a world that better understands the daily reality of migraine and headache disorders... and a direct investment in CMA's work to get there. Whether you're living with chronic migraine yourself or love someone who is, this journey is for you.
As the song says:
“I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more.”
— from I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)
Chris is doubling that for the migraine community. You can be part of the adventure too:
Chris is out there every day, tracking every step and sharing the ride. Follow along as he checks in from the road, posts his daily progress, and keeps moving toward 1,000 miles. Rain or shine! You can cheer him on, share his story, and help spread the word.

Chris started walking his first few miles out of 100 on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
Day 1 finds Chris on the streets of New York City. He's talking to the camera as he walks — no studio, no script, just Chris and the road. Tune in to hear where his head is at as he keeps putting one foot in front of the other for migraine and headache disorder awareness.
Chris Charrett-Dykes is a proud member of Local 94 International Union of Operating Engineers and serves as Secretary on CMA's Board of Directors. As the husband of CMA President Catherine Charrett-Dykes, Chris has seen firsthand how chronic migraine disease affects families and he's turned that understanding into action. Through his work with ARMS (Advocates for Removing Migraine Stigma), Chris is committed to changing how the world sees and talks about migraine. This walk is his way of putting that commitment into miles.
